Fantasy week 4 preview
We’re quickly approaching the one-month mark of this NBA fantasy season and I think it’s safe to say that it’s been quite a ride thus far. Here’s a quick rundown of the past, present and future.
Game watch:
4 games: ATL, CHA, CLE, DET, HOU, IND, MIA, MIL, NO, OKC, ORL, POR, TOR
3 games: BOS, CHI, DAL, DEN, GS, LAC, LAL, MEM, NJ, NY, PHI, PHO, SAC, SA, UTA, WAS
2 games: MIN
Waiver wire watch:
- J.J. Hickson: starting for the moment, good source of points, boards and a smattering of steals and blocks
- Carl Landry: cooled off last game, playing extremely well lately, shoots high percentages
- Beno Udrih: still not owned in many leagues but thriving while Kevin Martin is out
- Taj Gibson: decent producer while Tyrus Thomas is out, more appealing in deeper leagues
- Toney Douglas: playing well with decent minutes, monitor Nate Robinson’s impact on his value
- Rafer Alston: taking on heavy minutes, put up a triple-double this past week, remains valuable so long as Devin Harris sits
- Drew Gooden: plays well with 20+ minutes, with Erick Dampier hospitalized Sunday, he started
- Will Bynum: Richard Hamilton still seems a week or two away from returning, which means plenty of minutes for Bynum
- Udonis Haslem: had a great line Saturday, continues to be solid PF, especially in deeper leagues
- Rudy Fernandez: with Travis Outlaw out for a while, his minutes should rise
- Darren Collinson: with Chris Paul out, he’ll put up decent numbers
- Earl Boykins: played 31 minutes in first game, scored 20 points
