Gilbert Arenas

Game watch:
4 games: BOS, CLE, DAL, DET, HOU, MEM, MIA, NJ, NO, OKC, ORL, POR, SA, WAS
3 games: ATL, CHA, CHI, DEN, GS, IND, LAC, LAL, MIL, MIN, NY, PHI, PHO, SAC, TOR, UTA

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Matt Barnes: decent source of threes and some other stats in deeper leagues
  • Landry Fields: ownership has dropped off a bit, but still worth consideration
  • J.J. Redick: he’s worth a look if Vince Carter continues to sit
  • Nick Young: scoring machine continues to thrive
  • Shannon Brown: a bit up-and-down, but averages are solid
  • Brandon Rush: continues to be worth considering
  • Shaquille O’Neal: doing a lot in limited minutes
  • Luke Ridnour: worth owning in most leagues at the moment
  • Donte Greene: starting for the Kings, putting up decent numbers
  • Matt Bonner: worth a look if you need threes
  • Kyle Korver: ditto
  • Shane Battier: gives you small doses of everything, has blocked a shot in 10 straight games
  • Ersan Ilyasova: past two games have been great, should thrive without Corey Maggette in the lineup
  • George Hill: getting steady minutes, appears to be finding consistency
  • Darrell Arthur: getting more playing time, decent source of rebounds and blocks
  • Josh McRoberts: past two games have yielded solid all-around lines
  • Hakim Warrick: has scored 48 points in his last two, getting lots of run and could start today

Injury watch:

  • David Lee (elbow): returned Saturday and played nearly 43 minutes
  • Jeff Foster (back): day-to-day
  • Andrew Bynum (knee): wants to return in three weeks, but we’ll see
  • Dwyane Wade (thumb): jammed it but continued to play on Saturday
  • Drew Gooden (foot): plantar fasciitis makes him day-to-day
  • Andrew Bogut (back): day-to-day
  • Troy Murphy (foot): will be activated for today
  • Ronny Turiaf (knee): day-to-day
  • Vince Carter (knee): day-to-day
  • Chauncey Billups (wrist): game-time decision today
  • Corey Maggette (foot): day-to-day
  • C.J. Watson (finger): monitor his status
  • Eric Bledsoe (ankle): day-to-day
  • Reggie Evans (foot): day-to-day
  • Gerald Wallace (elbow): check his status
  • John Wall (knee): day-to-day

Stock watch:

↑ Kevin Love: has averaged 26/20/2 in his past three games

↑ Brandon Roy: returned and put up a solid 27/3/4 line, which means it’s time to sell high

↑ Channing Frye: stuffing the stat sheet lately, doing everything — including blocking shots

↑ Jose Calderon: rounding back into form thanks to less-disputed minutes

↑ Gilbert Arenas: looks like he was worth the risk, putting up big numbers as John Wall continues to struggle with injuries

↓ David West: after 30/10 game, has looked pedestrian

↓ Tyreke Evans: ankle/foot issues are really hampering his production

↓ Danilo Gallinari: hot streak is a faint memory now

↓ Jason Terry: having serious issues with his shot lately

↓ Tony Parker: has cooled off from his hot start, looks more like himself
