Brooks will be fine the rest of the way, barring a long-term rookie wall. I'm just not optimistic that he can hold this up with Lopez back. Mayo would definitely be bad news for MarShon. G-Wall should pick things up, yes.

I just traded Caron Butler for a 4th round pick in exchange for my 7th after drafting him in the 8th and picked up Marshon off of my leagues wire. I don't think I'll be able to package him for anything atm, so would you say his production is going to trail off big time or just that he's overperforming right now so sell high? I heard a rumour that the Nets might be picking up OJ Mayo, would that cut in to Brooks' playing time? Also Gerald Wallace's numbers should pick up right?

No doubt. Now that he's set to miss a few games to get his conditioning/knee right, it would be a great time to buy low.

would you consider Dirk a buy low? I'm thinking he is in a similar position fantasy wise to Amare - slow start, adjustment to new players, potential to increase production once he & the team gets up and running...

Valid points, all around. I think Baron will help that offense more than some might think (though for how many games is another question). I'm expecting the Knicks to improve as the season wears on, and STAT to improve likewise. I don't think 20/8 along with 48% from the field is out of reach for him going forward. That said, in the DimeMag.com version of this post I did say owners who buy low on STAT will have to bring some courage with them. Buying low minimizes the risk here, and with a player who's ceiling is as high as Amar'e's, it's worth at least a thought for fantasy teams desperate for some change.

I agree. Chandler is clogging up the lanes and i'm not sure how much the offense is going to change once Baron comes in. You have to think that Melo is still going to dominate the ball, especially in isolation. In the halfcourt the Knicks seem to be running more Melo iso rather than pick n rolls with Chandler/Amare!

Would like to get Jason's opinion on how much possible improvement he sees for Amare?

Also what's the reasoning for Brooks being a sell high? Rookie wall?

i would be careful buying amare low. He just looks terrible out there, especially on d, he has like 1 block in his last 10 games. And on offense they dont run enough pick and roll with amare it seems like. Although baron davis might help him a little when he comes back, I would not be counting on that. Just my thoughts on amare.
