Russell Westbrook

Beast of the Night: Russell Westbrook put up 29 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 turnovers while shooting 54 percent (13-24) from the field and 60 percent (3-5) from the line. In leagues that take into account field goal percentage and turnovers, Westbrook’s value is limited, but his ability to put up great all-around numbers is too good to overlook.

Notable lines:
Michael Beasley – 10-21 FG (48%), 1-2 FT (50%), 1 3ptm, 22 Pts, 8 Reb, 3 Ast, 2 Blk, 3 TO

Kirk Hinrich – 5-12 FG (42%), 3-4 FT (75%), 2 3ptm, 15 Pts, 3 Reb, 7 Ast, 4 Stl, 1 TO

David West – 9-13 FG (69%), 2-2 FT (100%), 22 Pts, 9 Reb, 1 Ast, 3 Stl, 2 Blk, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Joakim Noah outplayed an intimidating Lakers frontcourt and finished with 11 points, 20 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks and 3 turnovers. He missed a bunch of tip-ins and consequently shot just 25 percent (4-16) from the field and 75 percent (3-4) from the line, but his overall line was still gaudy.

Notable lines:
Wilson Chandler – 6-13 FG (46%), 3-4 FT (75%), 1 3ptm, 16 Pts, 7 Reb, 2 Ast, 2 Stl, 2 Blk, 3 TO

Boris Diaw – 3-4 FG (75%), 6 Pts, 8 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 TO

Kobe Bryant – 15-26 FG (58%), 11-15 FT (73%), 1 3ptm, 42 Pts, 2 Reb, 3 Ast, 3 Stl, 8 TO

Pau Gasol – 3-8 FG (38%), 4-4 FT (100%), 10 Pts, 16 Reb, 2 Ast, 2 Blk, 2 TO

Weekend Wonder: Elton Brand is business as usual after averaging 20 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.5 steals, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 turnovers in two games over the weekend. He shot 56 percent (15-27) from the field and 91 percent (10-11) from the free throw line during that stretch and finally looks like a solid third- or fourth-round draft pick.

Notable lines:
Dwight Howard (11/22) – 4-13 FG (31%), 9-14 FT (64%), 17 Pts, 12 Reb, 3 Ast, 4 TO

Paul Pierce (11/22) – 9-17 FG (53%), 9-10 FT (90%), 6 3ptm, 33 Pts, 9 Reb, 6 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 Blk, 3 TO
