Now the question is: What does this mean for fantasy basketball this season? (Boy, does it feel good to be able to write “this season” without a cynical smirk plastered on my face and a bitter tear in my eye.) We’ll delve deeper into the fallout through the coming weeks, but here’s a quick rundown of some of the important things to keep in mind for now: (continue reading…)
Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 3.9.11
by Jason on Mar.09, 2011, under Quick hits
Beast of the Night: Dwyane Wade finished with 38 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in a losing cause. He shot 57 percent (12-21) from the field, 92 percent (12-13) from the free-throw line and had three turnovers. Wade has been a top-25 player this season, which is a far cry (pun intended) from his top-eight pick position in many drafts last fall.
Lines for Discussion:
Brandon Jennings: 10-20 FG (50%), 3 threes, 23 Pts, 5 Reb, 4 Ast, 3 Stl, 1 TO
Andrew Bogut: 7-13 FG (54%), 0-2 FG (0%), 14 Pts, 9 Reb, 7 Ast, 1 Stl, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Weekend Wonder: Kevin Martin averaged 31.5 points, four three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, three assists, three steals and 0.5 blocks in two games over the weekend. That’s three straight games with 30+ points for Martin, who will be shedding no tears over Aaron Brooks’ departure. K-Mart has only missed two games and is averaging top-20 numbers so far this season.
Lines for Discussion:
J.J. Hickson (2/25): 9-17 FG (53%), 6-10 FT (60%), 24 Pts, 15 Reb, 1 Ast, 5 Blk, 3 TO
Deron Williams (2/26): 3-12 FG (25%), 9-12 FT (75%), 15 Pts, 5 Reb, 17 Ast, 2 Stl, 4 TO (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Dwight Howard posted 31 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and two blocks last night against the Kings. He shot 59 percent (10-17) from the field, 92 percent (11-12) from the free-throw line and had three turnovers. Howard’s averaging a career-high 23 points and 1.2 steals per game this season. He remains a stud, so long as you can handle his poor free-throw shooting.
Lines for Discussion:
John Wall: 8-19 FG (42%), 4-5 FT (80%), 1 three, 21 Pts, 5 Reb, 12 Ast, 2 Stl, 4 TO
Ramon Sessions: 8-14 FG (57%), 3-5 FT (60%), 1 three, 20 Pts, 3 Reb, 12 Ast, 1 Stl, 4 TO (continue reading…)

He shot 64 percent (9-14) from the field, had three turnovers and played 47:14, a good indication that his health is improved for now. Rondo’s averaging a whopping 14.1 assists per game so far this season, 4.3 more than last season’s 9.8 mark.
Lines for Discussion:
Glen Davis: 7-14 FG (50%), 2-2 FT (100%), 16 Pts, 7 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 Blk, 2 TO
