Daily fantasy recap: 2.3
by Jason on Feb.03, 2010, under Quick hits
Beast of the Night: Kevin Durant rolled right along with 33 points, 11 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 2 turnovers. He hit a three and shot 50 percent (9-18) from the field and 100 percent (14-14) from the line. Some thought using a No. 4 draft pick on him was a bit much, but it’s turning out to be about right.
Noteworthy Lines:
Andrea Bargnani – 14-21 FG (67%), 2-6 FT (33%), 4 3ptm, 34 Pts, 4 Reb, 1 Blk, 1 TO

Amar’e Stoudemire, Caron Butler, Dwight Howard, Devin Harris and Derrick Rose: What do these players have in common?
They’re all underperforming so far this season.
Of course, those four player are not alone. There’s a fairly long list of fantasy players who’ve let their owners down with their own basketball versions of “Spider-Man 3.”
With about a quarter of the 2009-10 NBA season in the books, let’s see who has been the most disappointing fantasy player so far. Make your voice heard by voting and commenting below. (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Anthony Morrow put up 27 points last night, hitting 6 threes and adding 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 48 minutes of work for a depleted Warriors squad. He shot 56 percent (9-16) from the floor and was perfect (3-3) from the line. Morrow should remain a valuable, though inconsistent, fantasy asset for the remainder of the season.
Notable lines:
Thaddeus Young – 10-19 FG (53%), 1-1 FT (100%), 2 3ptm, 23 Pts, 4 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 TO
Lou Williams – 10-17 FG (59%), 2-2 FT (100%), 4 3ptm, 26 Pts, 4 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 TO
