Weekend Wonder: Steve Nash averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 13.5 assists, 1 steal and 1 three in two monster games over the weekend. He shot 65 percent from the field, 82 percent from the free-throw line and turned the ball over just once per game. After a sluggish start to the season, Nash has notched double-doubles in his last four outings.

Lines for Discussion:
Kevin Love (11/12): 11-26 FG (42%), 8-10 FT (80%), 1 three, 31 Pts, 31 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Blk, 2 TO

Beast of the Night: Chris Paul rocked the Rockets with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, 1 block, 1 turnover and a three to top things off. He shot 58 percent (7-12) from the field and 83 percent (10-12) from the free-throw line. Of the top-three picks heading into the season, Paul is the only one who has justified that status so far this season.

Lines for Discussion:
Dwight Howard: 7-13 FG (54%), 4-11 FT (36%), 18 Pts, 16 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 8 Blk, 3 TO

Ben Gordon: 9-19 FG (47%), 4-5 FT (80%), 22 Pts, 4 Reb, 4 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: John Wall did “The Dougie” then danced his way to 29 points, 2 rebounds, 13 assists, 9 steals and 8 turnovers. He shot 56 percent (9-16) from the field and 79 percent (11-14) from the line. It’s a flawed line and the rookie nearly notched a somewhat unsavory quadruple-double, but this was an eye-popping performance, especially for owners in leagues that don’t count turnovers.

Lines for Discussion:
Josh Smith: 3-11 FG (27%), 6 Pts, 11 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 Stl, 5 Blk

J.J. Hickson: 11-17 FG (65%), 9-11 FT (82%), 31 Pts, 5 Reb, 1 Stl, 5 TO (continue reading…)

So, without further ado, here is a list of conclusions some fantasy owners may have jumped to after the first handful of games played this season, along with the related comments-from-the-mat in parentheses. (continue reading…)
