2010-11 Fantasy week 14 preview
by Jason on Jan.23, 2011, under Quick hits

That's right -- Mr. Anderson, you're the fantasy basketball story of the past two weeks. (AP Photo/Patrick Semansky)
Game watch:
4 games: BOS, CHA, CLE, DEN, DET, GS, HOU, MEM, MIL, MIN, NJ, NO, NY, OKC, ORL, PHI, PHO, SAC, TOR, UTA, WAS
3 games: ATL, CHI, DAL, IND, LAC, LAL, MIA, SA
2 games: POR
Waiver-wire watch:
- Ryan Anderson: averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 threes in January; he should be owned in nearly all leagues by now
- Chuck Hayes: getting plenty of run at center for the Rockets, doing everything pretty well
- Rudy Fernandez: on a hot streak, could benefit so long as the roster is this depleted
- Mike Miller: monster game Saturday (without Dwyane Wade) deserves attention, but he’s not likely to be anything more than some threes on most nights
- Ronny Turiaf: lost his starting gig again, but he’s worth monitoring for his shot-blocking ability (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Kobe Bryant had a very efficient night, finishing with 33 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, while hitting 3 threes in just three quarters of work against the Pistons. He shot 55 percent (11-20) from the field, 100 percent (8-8) from the free-throw line and had 3 turnovers. Despite playing nearly six fewer minutes per game, Black Mamba is averaging more threes, rebounds and free-throw attempts (along with a higher free-throw percentage) per game.
Lines for Discussion:
Evan Turner: 3-8 FG (38%), 5-6 FT (83%), 11 Pts, 12 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 Stl, 1 TO
Chris Bosh: 12-17 FG (71%), 11-11 FT (100%), 35 Pts, 6 Reb, 4 Ast, 1 Stl (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Tim Duncan hung 23 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks on the Pacers last night, and shot 83 percent (10-12) from the floor, 60 percent (3-5) from the line and had just 1 turnover. He won’t be this good all season long, but shame on you if you’ve forgotten Duncan’s worth.
Lines for Discussion:
Amar’e Stoudemire: 7-16 FG (44%), 5-6 FT (83%), 19 Pts, 10 Reb, 2 Ast, 2 Blk, 9 TO
Dwyane Wade: 10-20 FG (50%), 9-12 FT (75%), 1 three, 30 Pts, 7 Reb, 4 Ast, 3 Stl, 2 Blk, 4 TO (continue reading…)
