Quick takes: Wade, Bosh in Miami, Boozer in Chicago

Dwyane Wade

Two-thirds of the dream trio that has been the recipient of so much attention this summer have finally decided on their future.

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh announced today that they plan to sign with the Miami Heat.

From a fantasy standpoint, it’s not all that exciting — yet. It’s too early to jump to concrete conclusions on Wade and Bosh’s values next season, since we don’t know who else will (or will not) sign with their squad. As it stands, the Heat only have Wade, Bosh, Mario Chalmers and Michael Beasley on its payroll. If they fill out that roster with a bunch of minor role players, Wade and Bosh remain fantasy studs, though their stats might take a slight baby step back.

If, however, Wade and Bosh are joined by LeBron James, all three dudes will see their values take a material hit. (continue reading…)

Mo Williams

Beast of the Night: Mo Williams did his best to fill in for LeBron James and finished with 35 points, 6 threes, 3 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 turnovers. He shot 50 percent (12-24) from the field and 100 percent (5-5) from the line. After struggling with inconsistency in March, Williams has had a decent April so far but could sit out a game or two before the season’s done.

Noteworthy Lines:
Antawn Jamison – 10-19 FG (53%), 3-3 FT (100%), 23 Pts, 6 Reb, 3 Stl, 2 TO; He’s improved his scoring in each of his four games this month but his bum shoulder and new injury (see below) will likely grant him a DNP or two before the season is over.

Joakim Noah – 8-14 FG (57%), 1-1 FT (100%), 17 Pts, 15 Reb, 4 Ast, 4 Blk, 1 TO; That’s three straight games with 11+ rebounds and 2+ blocks. His plantar fasciitis doesn’t appear to be an issue at the moment.

Eric Gordon – 7-14 FG (50%), 3-4 FT (75%), 4 3ptm, 21 Pts, 3 Reb, 5 Ast, 2 TO; He’s been mostly good lately but Gordon just can’t seem to find the consistency he needs to be a real fantasy star. (continue reading…)

David Lee

Weekend Wonder: David Lee averaged 33 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, 0.5 steals and 1 block in two games. One of those games was a monstrous 37/20/10 line against the Warriors on Friday. Lee shot 58 percent from the field and 93 percent from the line in those outings.

Noteworthy Lines:
Taj Gibson (4/2) – 7-13 FG (54%), 14 Pts, 16 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 4 Blk, 1 TO

Anthony Morrow (4/2) – 16-23 FG (70%), 3 3ptm, 35 Pts, 6 Reb, 3 Stl, 1 TO

Andre Iguodala (4/3) – 9-14 FG (64%), 11-14 FT (79%), 4 3ptm, 33 Pts, 8 Reb, 11 Ast, 5 Stl, 1 Blk, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Noteworthy Lines:
Tyreke Evans – 6-13 FG (46%), 4-4 FT (100%), 1 3ptm, 17 Pts, 7 Reb, 10 Ast, 4 Stl, 7 TO
