Beast of the Night: Rajon Rondo was a monster last night, finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 22 assists, six steals and a block in a big win over the Spurs. He shot 60 percent (6-10) from the floor, avoided shooting any free throws, and had five turnovers. There’s not much that needs to be said here.

Lines for Discussion:
Gilbert Arenas: 2-9 FG (22%), 6 Pts, 2 threes, 1 Reb, 1 TO

John Wall: 6-14 FG (43%), 5-8 FT (63%), 1 three, 18 Pts, 1 Reb, 14 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 TO (continue reading…)

Terrence Williams will be picked up in a lot of leagues this morning, but how much optimism should he deserve? Head over to DimeMag.com to read my take on yesterday’s three-team deal that had the New Jersey Nets send Williams to the Houston Rockets and Joe Smith to the Los Angeles Lakers. In return, the Nets will receive Sasha Vujacic from the Lakers along with a 2011 first-round pick, and a Lottery-protected 2012 first-round pick from the Rockets. The Rockets also sent Jermaine Taylor to the Sacramento Kings for a future second-round pick in order to make room for Williams.

If you want a quick and dirty summary, here you go: (continue reading…)

Weekend Wonder: Deron Williams was hot this past weekend, averaging 33 points, 1.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 3 threes in two games.  He shot 54 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free-throw line during that stretch. Williams is scoring four more points per game this season compared to last season and has upped his shooting form the field and free-throw line.

Lines for Discussion:
Andrew Bogut (12/10): 11-20 FG (55%), 2-4 FT (50%), 24 Pts, 22 Reb, 3 Ast, 1 Stl, 5 Blk, 3 TOplay right now.

Marcus Camby (12/10): 6-7 FG (86%), 4-4 FT (100%), 16 Pts, 18 Reb, 1 Stl, 2 Blk, 2 TO (continue reading…)

John Wall

Yeah, Wall is pretty good. (AP Photo/Nick Wass)

Beast of the Night: John Wall got his first NBA triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, 6 steals, 1 block and 1 turnover. He shot 50 percent (8-16) from the field, 50 percent (1-2) from the line and hit two threes along the way. The major threat to Wall’s fantasy value seems to be — wait for it — the rookie wall.

Lines for Discussion:
Deron Williams: 8-19 FG (42%), 11-12 FT (92%), 3 threes, 30 Pts, 5 Reb, 14 Ast, 4 TO

Kevin Martin: 8-18 FG (44%), 13-15 FT (87%), 2 threes, 31 Pts, 7 Reb, 6 Ast, 1 Stl, 3 TO (continue reading…)
