Weekend Wonder: Monta Ellis averaged 27.5 points, four rebounds, eight assists, 2.5 steals, one block and 3.5 threes in his two games over the weekend.  He shot 54 percent from the field, 86 percent from the line and averaged 3.5 turnovers in that stretch. Ellis hit a career-high seven three-pointers and played all 53 minutes of an overtime victory over the Magic on Friday night. He has been a top-15 stud all season long and has held up well despite playing heavy minutes once again.

Lines for Discussion:
Kris Humphries (3/11): 8-8 FG (100%), 3-3 FT (100%), 19 Pts, 20 Reb, 1 Stl, 4 TO

Dorell Wright (3/11): 12-17 FG (71%), 8 threes, 32 Pts, 6 Reb, 1 TO (continue reading…)

Beast of the Night: Ray Allen posted a smooth line to the tune of 25 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and five three-pointers. He shot 60 percent (9-15) from the field, 100 percent (2-2) from the free-throw line and had two turnovers. Allen deserves a lot of credit for turning in a surprising season. He’s improved on every category except for free-throw percentage and blocks from last season’s marks.

Lines for Discussion:
Kris Humphries: 8-15 FG (53%), 0-1 FT (0%), 16 Pts, 15 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 3 TO

Deron Williams: 5-14 FG (36%), 2-2 FT (100%), 1 three, 13 Pts, 5 Reb, 18 Ast, 1 Stl, 6 TO (continue reading…)

Kris Humphries

Just when you thought it was safe… A surprising trade emerged today sending Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets. The Nets also made a deal with the Golden State Warriors involving the great Troy Murphy. So raise your White Russians to Mikhail Prokhorov and settle in to peruse the quick fantasy implications below. For my wordier take on the deals, head on over to DimeMag.com.

Weekend Wonder: Stephen Curry roared back into fantasy stardom over the weekend by averaging 33 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.5 steals, 0.5 blocks and three three-pointers in two games. He shot 55 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line during this stretch. Curry appears to be back on track and should pay handsome rewards to owners who were able to buy low on him.

Lines for Discussion:
Dwight Howard (1/21): 12-21 FG (57%), 7-13 FT (54%), 31 Pts, 19 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Blk, 1 TO

O.J. Mayo (1/21): 5-10 FG (50%), 3-4 FT (75%), 13 Pts, 5 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 Stl, 1 Blk (continue reading…)
