Allow me to go into Hubie Brown mode for a minute: “Your team is ravaged by injuries. Your league’s trade deadline has passed. You’re forced to steer a slipshod team in an unlikely run at a championship. What do you do?”

You'd be psycho not to go and grab Hansbrough off the waiver wire. (NBA.com)

4 games: BOS, DAL, DEN, GS, HOU, IND, LAC, MIA, NJ, NY, OKC, PHI, PHO, POR, SAC, WAS
3 games: ATL, CHA, CHI, CLE, DET, LAL, MEM, MIL, MIN, NO, ORL, SA, TOR, UTA

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Tyler Hansbrough: starting gig appears secure, averaging 17.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals so far this month
  • Chase Budinger: doing good things with his starting job, putting up 14.7 points, four rebounds, 2.2 assists, one steal and 1.3 threes per game this month

Game watch:
4 games: CHA, CLE, DAL, DEN, DET, GS, IND, LAC, LAL, MEM, MIL, MIN, NO, ORL, PHI, PHO, SAC, SA, TOR
3 games: BOS, CHI, HOU, MIA, NJ, NY, OKC, POR, UTA, WAS
2 games: ATL

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Sam Young: continues to start, has notched double-digit points in five of his last six
  • Ersan Ilyasova: also holding onto his starting gig, also hit double-digit points in five of his last six
  • Anthony Parker: finally back from his back injury, started the last game for the Cavs, should be good for threes and steals
  • Mike Miller: averaging 11.1 points, two threes, 8.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists since Jan. 22
  • Christian Eyenga: starting gig seems safe for now, continues to put up solid numbers across the board (except for shooting percentages) (continue reading…)

Ryan Anderson

That's right -- Mr. Anderson, you're the fantasy basketball story of the past two weeks. (AP Photo/Patrick Semansky)

Game watch:
4 games: BOS, CHA, CLE, DEN, DET, GS, HOU, MEM, MIL, MIN, NJ, NO, NY, OKC, ORL, PHI, PHO, SAC, TOR, UTA, WAS
3 games: ATL, CHI, DAL, IND, LAC, LAL, MIA, SA
2 games: POR

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Ryan Anderson: averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.9 threes in January; he should be owned in nearly all leagues by now
  • Chuck Hayes: getting plenty of run at center for the Rockets, doing everything pretty well
  • Rudy Fernandez: on a hot streak, could benefit so long as the roster is this depleted
  • Mike Miller: monster game Saturday (without Dwyane Wade) deserves attention, but he’s not likely to be anything more than some threes on most nights
  • Ronny Turiaf: lost his starting gig again, but he’s worth monitoring for his shot-blocking ability (continue reading…)
