2010-11 Fantasy week 24 preview

Jared Dudley

Dudley's deserving of a late-season pickup if he's still available in your league. (Flickr/Keith Allison)

Game watch:
4 games: BOS, CHA, CHI, CLE, DEN, DET, LAC, LAL, MIL, NJ, NY, OKC, PHO, SAC, TOR, WAS
3 games: ATL, DAL, GS, HOU, IND, MEM, MIA, MIN, NO, ORL, PHI, POR, SA, UTA

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Jared Dudley: he’s started his last four games and has averaged 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, three steals, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 threes in that stretch
  • Tony Allen: he won’t hit many threes, but Allen is doing a lot in just about every other column, especially steals
  • Jerryd Bayless: he had a great line in his start Saturday without Jose Calderon; if Calderon misses more time with his bum hammy, Bayless will finish the season as a stud
  • Ed Davis: he’s racked up three double-doubles in his last four games and is worth a look if you need big-man stats, especially while Andrea Bargnani is out (continue reading…)

2 games: DEN, NJ, WAS

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Francisco Garcia: in his first game since Jan. 15, he finished with 18 points, four three-pointers, three rebounds and two steals
  • Carlos Delfino: up and down lately, but continues to put up strong overall numbers and racked up nine steals in two games last week
  • Wes Johnson: in his four games before the flu derailed him, Johnson was tearing up box scores
  • Matt Bonner: usually a good source of threes, has hit nine in his last two games (continue reading…)

Mike Miller

Miller finally deserves your attention. (Marc Serota/Getty Images)

Game watch:
4 games: CHA, CLE, DAL, DEN, DET, GS, IND, LAC, LAL, MEM, MIL, MIN, NO, ORL, PHI, PHO, SAC, SA, TOR

2 games: ATL

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Sam Young: continues to start, has notched double-digit points in five of his last six
  • Ersan Ilyasova: also holding onto his starting gig, also hit double-digit points in five of his last six
  • Anthony Parker: finally back from his back injury, started the last game for the Cavs, should be good for threes and steals
  • Mike Miller: averaging 11.1 points, two threes, 8.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists since Jan. 22
  • Christian Eyenga: starting gig seems safe for now, continues to put up solid numbers across the board (except for shooting percentages) (continue reading…)

Tim Duncan

[Read the full post at DimeMag.com]

Beast of the Night: Tim Duncan posted 28 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks last night against the Nuggets. He shot 67 percent (12-18) from the field and 67 percent (4-6) from the charity stripe. This was Duncan’s third straight game with double-digit rebounds, and he’s averaging 4.3 blocks during that stretch. Though his fantasy value remains limited by his tightly controlled minutes, Duncan remains a strong asset when healthy and given 30+ minutes.

Lines for Discussion:
JaVale McGee: 1-5 FG (20%), 2 Pts, 5 Reb, 2 Blk, 2 TO

Devin Harris: 7-25 FG (28%), 14-17 FT (82%), 1 three, 29 Pts, 3 Reb, 9 Ast, 2 TO (continue reading…)

Game watch:
4 games: ATL, CHI, CLE, DEN, DET, IND, LAC, LAL, MIA, MIN, NY, OKC, ORL, POR, TOR, UTA
3 games: BOS, CHA, DAL, GS, HOU, MEM, MIL, NJ, NO, PHI, PHO, SAC, SA, WAS

Waiver-wire watch:

  • Josh McRoberts: putting up solid numbers across the board lately, playing minutes at center
  • Shane Battier: has blocked at least one shot in 15 straight games, playing well lately
  • Marvin Williams: worth a look so long as Joe Johnson is out
  • Larry Sanders: worth a look if you need blocks in a deep league
  • Glen Davis: has been solid for most of the season (continue reading…)
