Weekend Wonder: Brook Lopez had himself a bloody good weekend in London, where he averaged 29.5 points, eight rebounds, two assists and 5.5 blocks in two games against the Raptors. He shot 61 percent from the field, 82 percent from the free-throw line and averaged 2.5 turnovers in his stint overseas. Lopez’s owners probably wish the Nets would play more games across the pond, but they should just take this and savor it while they can. Ideally, this will give the big man some momentum heading into this last stretch of fantasy basketball.

Lines for Discussion:
Andre Iguodala (3/4): 7-13 FG (54%), 6-6 FT (100%), 2 threes, 22 Pts, 10 Reb, 13 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 2 TO

Jeff Green (3/4): 8-11 FG (73%), 5-5 FT (100%), 21 Pts, 1 Reb, 2 Stl, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 2.23.11

Brandon Jennings

Jennings had quite a game last night, despite the continually lacking aim from the field. (NBA.com)

[Read the full post at DimeMag.com]

Beast of the Night: Brandon Jennings finished with 27 points, three rebounds, seven assists, three steals, two blocks and two three-pointers last night. He shot 41 percent (7-17) from the field, 92 percent (11-12) from the free-throw line and had just one turnover. Jennings has been pretty solid for much of this month so far, but his Achilles heel continues to be his poor shooting from the field. This isn’t going to change anytime soon.

Lines for Discussion:
D.J. Augustin: 8-15 FG (53%), 5-5 FT (100%), 2 threes, 23 Pts, 1 Reb, 8 Ast

Aaron Brooks: 2-9 FG (22%), 4-4 FT (100%), 1 three, 9 Pts, 4 Reb, 6 Ast, 2 Stl, 3 TO (continue reading…)

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 1.24.11 (Weekend Recap)

Stephen Curry

This Warrior came out to play this weekend. (NBA.com)

[Read the full post at DimeMag.com]

Weekend Wonder: Stephen Curry roared back into fantasy stardom over the weekend by averaging 33 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.5 steals, 0.5 blocks and three three-pointers in two games. He shot 55 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line during this stretch. Curry appears to be back on track and should pay handsome rewards to owners who were able to buy low on him.

Lines for Discussion:
Dwight Howard (1/21): 12-21 FG (57%), 7-13 FT (54%), 31 Pts, 19 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Blk, 1 TO

O.J. Mayo (1/21): 5-10 FG (50%), 3-4 FT (75%), 13 Pts, 5 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 Stl, 1 Blk (continue reading…)

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 1.11.11

by on Jan.11, 2011, under Quick hits

Stephen Jackson

The Captain has been taking charge since Larry Brown left. (NBA.com)

[Read the full post at DimeMag.com]

Beast of the Night: Stephen Jackson finished the night with 27 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals, one block and three three-pointers. He shot 48 percent (11-23) from the field, 100 percent (2-2) from the line and had three turnovers. The Captain wasn’t exactly crying when Larry Brown left the Bobcats’ bench, and his on-court play has reflected that. It’ll be interesting to see how Jackson will mesh with Gerald Wallace again once Crash returns from his bothersome ankle injury.

Lines for Discussion:
O.J. Mayo: 1-8 FG (13%), 2-2 FT (100%), 4 Pts, 3 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Blk, 3 TO

Aaron Brooks: 8-15 FG (53%), 3-3 FT (100%), 5 threes, 24 Pts, 1 Reb, 5 Ast, 2 TO (continue reading…)

He shot 58 percent (11-19) from the field, 100 percent (4-4) from the free-throw line and had three turnovers. This was his third straight game with 20+ rebounds, and Howard is averaging 23.7 points, 21 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2 blocks during that stretch.

Lines for Discussion:
Serge Ibaka: 3-9 FG (33%), 4-4 FT (100%), 10 Pts, 9 Reb, 2 Blk

Beno Udrih: 11-18 FG (61%), 8-8 FT (100%), 4 threes, 34 Pts, 7 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 5 TO (continue reading…)
